"Imagine two quadraphonic systems linked together through midi, each being able to separate the 8 tracks they are given, and being able to manipulate them with joysticks. Stack on multiple live instruments and gadgetry being manipulated in the center of the speakers, alongside 20 tape decks playing random field recordings, and you might begin to understand and appreciate this work" David A from BBZ Press
"Pressing play on your CD player is where the addiction begins. This Chicago based outfit will amaze your hearing with it's intense and unique sonic abilities" Michael from magnum Pie records

Gadget Rock is defined as "Ideas and experiments thought out and scored using worksheets and given to a person that has little knowledge of the project. Thinking of all the possibilities and trying to prepare for them. It is usually music created with instruments and devices that are: homemade, used in a way unintended by the maker, taken apart and reshaped into creative and unusual sound designs, portable, experimental, accidental and re-worked into a environment listenable to the average ear. Often it is performance based as the speakers, room environment, sound of the audience and or audience participation are included.
I have been doing this for years. I decided to use the worksheets with miss anna log in a live performance. We opened for pan sonic at the empty bottle. We used 5 speakers on stage for output as well as the stereo pa provided at the club. Of course all of the speakers had different versions of the performance, sounds and recordings being panned and switched between them. There was a video to accompany the performance that will be available with the live sound on dvd in 5.1 (2 speakers shy of the performance) mixed in several versions. 1st will be the actual performance recorded in stereo panned over the 6 speaker spectrum. 2nd will be the same sounds added to simulate the performance which was recorded in ableton live. 3rd will be the creations that made up the mastered song versions on gadget rock in the raw form.
